Details
The Matilda Bay 32 is a flexible utility boat in the true sense of the word. A new boat is available for Australian families and fishermen alike. We have completed the first boat with an open back which gives the most amazing feeling of space. Our Modular approach to design allows us to retrospectively enclose it with your choice of doors and window options from a fully opening fold out door, multi-sliding doors or the more traditional door and window arrangement.

This boat has been tested with the 370 hp Yanmar inboard diesel and then twin 300 hp Mercury Verado outboards. We envisioned keeping a small keel however with the speeds achieved the keel was having a slight negative effect on steering. Being fussy by nature we had to fix that. The upside is a boat that achieves 39.4 knots with the outboards and should easily achieve 30 knots with inboard.

We are can build the vessel as basic as you like or we can option it up to the highest level.

The boats are built as a hardtop, SUV type sports cruiser, sedan however a flybridge can be added. Because we are a semi custom yard we could even build you an open runabout if you wish.

A bow thruster is standard. You could even retrofit a half tower for game fishing.

The demonstrator vessel has the following options included:

Fully upholstered forward berth area.
Twin 300 hp Mercury Verado outboards in place of the standard diesel shaft drive, or twin 250 hp outboards
Electrical upgrade, 240 volt shorepower with automatic charger/inverter
Opening front window
Amtico flooring to saloon and forward cabin
Courtesy light pack
Hot water system 240 volt
Solid acrylic benchtops to galley and shower (HIMACS)

We can build the boat from around $320,000 with smaller engine option and more basic fit out.

We can include anything within reason - if it fits the space available.

With an optional flybridge added it will appeal to many people.

With the Australian dollar now much lower is the time to revisit your local manufacturers, the 32 is Spacious; Modern; Economical to own and operate;

Exceptionally capable in the ocean
Custom modular interior
Can be built to charter or self drive survey
Open deck space; Ideal boat for waterfront houses;
Rear cockpit seating optional

Being hand crafted the finish is outstanding with visitors to the factory coming away very impressed.

The falling Australian Dollar has made our local product very attractively priced internationally!

Current Events:
You may think that COVID19 will result in cheap boats and the restrictions are impacting on our lives but it will not be long before the restrictions are gradually eased and local boating is likely to be accessable and safe long before overseas travel or cruise ships are available. There is now a shortage of quality, well looked after boats in WA and even last week a late model Riviera arrived on a ship.
